Membership Information
NOLA STARs welcomes everyone 18 or older.
NOLA STARs is a local north Lousiana chapter of Romance Writers of America©. Romance Writers of America (RWA) is one of the largest professional writing organizations in the US and internationally. The national organization provides a platform information, training, and networking with agents, editors and publishers.
We at NOLA STARs bring those advantages, and more, to our members.
Following RWA policy, a guest may attend up to two meetings per lifetime. We encourage all our guests to become members.
We embrace the RWA policy of membership. You must be a member of the national organizaiton to be eligible to join a sanctioned RWA chapter, like NOLA STARs. You may find national membership applications on the RWA website.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Membership year is Jan 1 - Dec 31. For new members, dues are prorated by quarter, based on the month in which the application is submitted.
Current Member Renewals:
- $20 if paid by due date (Feb 01)
- $25 after due date
New Members:
- $20 if joining during Jan, Feb March
- $15 if joining during April, May, June
- $10 if joining during July, Aug, Sept
- $5 if joining during Oct, Nov, Dec
NOTE: If you wish to receive a print copy of the bi-monthly newsletter, please add an additional $5 to the fees noted above.
To pay electronically via PayPal, please follow the instructions below:
- Login to PayPal from a separate browser window (www.paypal.com)
- Click on the 'Send Money' tab
- Type in 'treasurer@nolastars.com' as the payee
- Enter the payment amount based on the fee-structure listed above
- Type 'Membership Dues' as your subject line
- If your payment includes the additional $5 for a print copy of the newsletter, please make note of this in the message box
- Once the transaction is complete, save the Transaction ID to copy onto the application form
- Return to this page to retrieve, print/complete and submit your application form
To submit your application form electronically, please follow the instructions below:
- Open and copy, or download the Membership Application form

- Attach form to an email and send to membership@nolastars.com

To submit your application form through the mail, please follow the instructions below:
- Open and copy or download the Membership Application form
(Note: if a password pop-up box appears when you click the link, simply close the box and the form will appear) - Fill in all applicable information. Print it out.
- Mail the form and payment (or paypal verification number) to the address below. If including a check, make payable to NOLA STARs.
