I’m a Southern gal, born and raised. Y’all and Bless Your Heart are part of my everyday vocabulary. In the Southern tradition, I married young to a great man (twenty –seven years so far), and have a brilliant daughter.
Like most writers, I’m a voracious reader. I've loved reading romance every since reading about Trixie Belden's crush on Jim. I also read science fiction and fantasy And I write whatever comes to mind. My debut novel Taking Flight is near and dear to my heart. It's set in West Monroe where I lived for eight years. I worked as an electrical engineer for LP&L and my husband and I raised our daughter there. West Monroe is a great place to raise a family.
I belong to a geat writing organization, Romance Writers of America®, and a fabulous local writing chapter and some very inspring online chapters. I'm a 2007 Golden Heart finalist® with this story under the working title, Best Buddies--Many thanks to my editor for the title Taking Flight, which fits the story much better.
