Not writing inspires writing

I'm just back from vacation.  No phones.  No computers.  No manuscript begging for page count.

Just me and the Caribbean Sea.  And lots and lots of nap time.

So today, I'm sorting through email and snail mail, checking my calendar and getting those dates firmly in my mind--and wanting to write.  I am so ready to put words on paper, I can hardly get through the stack of bills that need to be paid or the phone calls that need to be returned.  My characters have been in frozen animation for over a week.  I need to know what happens next.   Before my vacation, I really didn't care what happened next.  It's amazing what a few days under the sun will cure.

If you can't take a week for a cruise, take a blanket and a lawn chair for an hour or two.  Give your muse a break.  She'll reward you wil a burst of creativity you can ride to the next chapter.

Later, \

Connie
