Journaling

The last time I journaled was June 2008.  I went to Pensecola, Florida with my family, and I did some research for one of my books which will take place there.  I wrote down how the beach, the temperature, the dolphins, the seagulls, and walking along the shores at night and in the early mornings made me feel.  It felt like a paradise.  I was not used to the thick, gritty, white sand beneath my feet, but it felt great to feel something so different.  The sand was so bright from the sun reflecting off it that I had to wear sunshades at all times and squint my eyes.   I took a lot of notes while I was down there, and I even got another idea for a book.  Journaling helps give me ideas for books.  I did not even know what I wanted to write about until I got down there and began taking notes and journaling everything I could.
