BORN: June 12, 1947; New Orleans, Louisiana
ADOPTED at age three months
PARENTS: Mr. Rubin L. Walters and Mrs. Lou Walters (both deceased)

EDUCATION: Graduated from Rayville High School (1965); Blue Mountain College, Blue Mountain, Mississippi (two years); Jackson Commercial College, Jackson, Mississippi; Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, Louisiana (1969-1971) where I met my husband. Married before graduation and did not to back to college until twenty years later. Graduated from Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana at Monroe), Monroe, Louisiana in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
OCCUPATION: Administrative Coordinator in the Computer Lab located in the ULM Library; University of Louisiana at Monroe.
PAST AND CURRENT INTERESTS: Past (charter) member of Sweet Adalines; Patron member of The Strauss Little Theater of Monroe. My husband and I have also been in several plays and local productions. Member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Husband and I served for a number of years as youth counselors for Junior and Senior Highs; former member of the Chancel Choir and several committees. Served one year as "unofficial" Historian for The Friends of the Civic Center Theater as assistant to my brother. Served as Historian for the Department of Biology and the Biology Alumni Chapter of NLU for three years. I am a member of The International Society of Poets (since 1992) and a Charter Lifetime Member of The International Society of Poets (since 1994). I am a charter member of the Garden District Neighborhood Alliance and served in the capacity of Secretary for three years. We were active in the process of obtaining historical status for our neighborhood which is now on the National List of Historical Places. My husband and I are section captains for our Neighborhood Watch Program. I have belonged to several Backstreet Boys fan club groups (online) since December of 2002 and have written many fan fiction stories which I plan to convert into contemporary romance novels by changing names, etc. I have written a historical fiction romance novel (not published). I have written a collection of poetry which I also hope to have published at some point in time. We love to travel and have had the opportunities to visit Ireland and Italy.

Four poems,
"A Daughter Is Born", "Dragon Moon", Before The Battle", and "The Meaning Of Love" earned Merit Awards by International Society of Poets. A fifth poem, "Daddy’s Chair" earned Editor’s Choice Award, and all have been recorded on tape by The National Library of Poetry.

From September 1993 through December 1994 I had "The Poet’s Corner" for The Riverside News, a local news magazine serving Monroe, Louisiana and three surrounding parishes. In November 1993 one of my poems was published in the DPMA News, a newsletter published by the Data Processing Management Association of Monroe, Louisiana.
